Miniature Daschund photos – very cute!

Hi all,

Busy, busy.:)

Now, with the bulk of the 2009 wedding season now drawing to a close, one might be forgiven for thinking things would slow down right about now… but instead, this is the time of year I get a lot of calls for portraiture – for both people and their pets. Indeed , with Christmas right around the corner I’ve been spending a lot of time taking “secret” photos which will end up being great Christmas presents, and as such haven’t been posting much up here on the blog for a little while. However, I just have to show a couple of photos from one such recent shoot (no names) involving two little Miniature Daschunds who were just too cute for words! Take a look at these adorable little dogs, who loved every minute of their Christmassy photo shoot…

Photos of Henrietta the Cart Horse

Still working flat out right now, and lots more things to show you all yet. Today we’re going to look at something a little bit different…

I haven’t done any pet portraits for a little while, since our wedding season is now well and truly underway – and it’s been even longer since I got to do any horse photography – so when Louise called me and arranged for me to go and photograph her horse Henrietta I was looking forward to getting outside and taking in a bit of fresh country air! As it turned out, Henrietta was completely unimpressed with both myself and my camera gear – but did enjoy feasting on the lush long grass in her field while I chased around after her trying to get a good angle for her photos!

We got a bunch of lovely pictures, ranging from some nice standard portrait/lansdscapes, right up to a few that I think are just a little bit different. Let’s take a look at just a few of them then:

Well, that’s all for now then – I hope you enjoyed viewing them. Thanks has to go to Louise for her help in chasing Henrietta around the field for me!

All the best for now,

Heather's Bearded Collie, Ginty

Well, with a crazy summer season of weddings behind us and Christmas coming up fast, I’ve been taking a whole heap of pet portraits again…

Here’s Ginty, Heather’s Bearded Collie. Ginty is a gorgeous dog, and very well behaved – so in the space of an hour, we managed to get not only a good range of studio photos taken, but also a lovely series of shots outside in the local park. With the autumn leaves now on the ground, we were able to take advantage of the lovely colours in the background for our shots.

Let’s take a looksee then – starting with a nice smiley portrait:)

I love this next one – reminds me of a big soft rug on the floor!

and outside…

Well… that’s all for now. Full galleries are available here;

I hope you enjoyed the previews. All the best for now,

Jody's Rottweiler photos – Keane

Well, after a completely crazy summer working flat out without any time off for good behaviour, our wedding season is now just beginning to slow down a bit for the autumn.

We’re not quite done yet… but I do have time to show you something else for a change now:)

Regular readers will know I’m a bit of a sucker for animal photography, so today I’d like to introduce you to Keane the Rottweiler, owned and loved by Jody. Keane is a lovely dog with a great temperament, not at all how many people imagine Rotties to be. In fact – he’s a big softie!

So let’s take a look at him then – starting with Jody’s request for a white background studio portrait – taken in our tiny front-room!

A handsome beastie isn’t he? Here’s another from inside…

After getting a few shots ‘in the bag’ I suggested to Jody we take Keane to the little park ‘next door’. With the autumn colours and a few leaves on the ground, this is a great time for outdoor photography – for pets, people or kids. Such lovely colours around…

I love a nice natural picture – and of course Keane didn’t seem to object in the slightest!

That’s all for now. Best I get back to my wedding processing;-)

Andrew's Red Brindle Boxer portraits

It’s our four legged friends again!

Andrew asked me to photograph his Red brindle Boxer dog for him, and visited me at home last week where we took a series of photos – both ’studio’ and natural. We got some great shots of a real character. Here are just a few for you to take a look at…

Preserving modesty…
